Ross and Jill are married!
I’m so excited to share Ross and Jill’s wedding day with you today! From the day I met Jill, it was clear– she was 200% smitten and over-the-moon thankful for the path that led her to Ross. She told me of their long-distance relationship, career moves, house hunting, and all the challenges they had faced through their two-plus years of courtship. I just knew from Jill’s stories and the sparkle in her eyes that this man was something special.
And then I met Ross. The magic and joy that radiates from these two is so amazing. It is abundantly clear to all who celebrated their wedding day on Saturday that Ross and Jill are made for one another. I am so thankful for the opportunity to witness, capture, and celebrate their special day.
Jill had such an amazing tribe of strong, supportive, reverent women surrounding her as she prepared for her day. There were so many laughs, a few snorts (I won’t name names ;-), and endless praise of the Lord who brought them together. Ross had no shortage of strong, faithful men supporting him in the Green Room, either.
Ross and Jill opted for a first look and wished to exchange letters prior to seeing each other for the first time. I just love when my couples take time for this special moment before the chaos of the big day. I think I can confidently speak for both of them when I say they treasured the opportunity to share those heartfelt notes and precious minutes to ground one another and calm the nerves. (For more on why to consider a first look, check out this recent blog post.)
As a veteran teacher, Jill incorporated a small reception for her former students and their parents. Not only did she have special pencils for each kiddo, but she also had a table of sweets and a sweet rock project for each student to participate in. We capped off that part of the celebration with a giant picture of the happy couple and all the kiddos in attendance.
Enjoy some more of my favorites from Ross and Jill’s wedding day!
